St. Regis Falls is a census-designated community within Franklin County, New York. It is located at the north end of the town of Waverly, along the north side of the St. Regis River, a tributary of the St. Lawrence River. It has a total area of 1.29 square miles and a population of approximately 400 residents.

In September 2021, a St. Regis Falls man was charged by State Police with third-degree patronizing prostitution and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors. According to police, the arrest followed an investigation in which the man was found making inappropriate sexual advances toward a teen victim. Police said, since 2019, the man had communicated with the victim both verbally and electronically in an inappropriate and sexually explicit manner. According to police, the investigation revealed that the suspect offered the teen money in exchange for sexual contact with him. He was arraigned in the Town of Waverly Court, where he was released on his own recognizance and scheduled to reappear later. The man’s name, age, and hometown were released to the press.
