Randleman is a city in Randolph County, North Carolina with a population of approximately 4,600. In an effort to reduce the demand for sex purchased from prostituted women, police have conducted web-based reverse stings and publicly identified arrested sex buyers.  For example, in 2008, a Methodist minister was charged with soliciting sex for money.  A woman called the Randleman Police Department and said she was approached online by a man asking to buy sex with her.  Investigators got involved and pretended to be the woman. A meeting was set up at a shopping center parking lot in Randleman, where Police took him into custody, charged with solicitation for prostitution and solicitation for crimes against nature. The man’s photo and other identifiers were released to the public, including the fact that he was a Methodist minister.
