Palm Beach is a community located on the Atlantic coast of Florida, north of Fort Lauderdale near West Palm Beach, with a population of roughly 10,000 annually (and about 30,000 seasonally). Prostitution and child sex trafficking are documented problems in the city. To address prostitution problems in the city, police have conducted reverse stings. One occurred in 1989, and resulted in 13 arrests. In 2014, a man was arrested at a hotel for buying sex from a prostituted person.
