Hendersonville is a city of 15,000 residents located in southwest North Carolina. Consumer level demand provides the revenue stream for all prostitution and sex trafficking, and has therefore been targeted by local law enforcement agencies as a strategy for prevention and response. To deter commercial sex buyers in the area, the Hendersonville Police Department has conducted street-level reverse stings using undercover decoys.  The operations occur in streets and areas known for prostitution. Officers have asked residents to call them with information about potential prostitution activity.  Arrestees have their names, ages, addresses, and photos reported in the news.
