Fulton, New York, is a city of approximately 11,000 residents located in the western part of Oswego County, almost 30 miles northwest of Syracuse.

In December 2020, Fulton police arrested a sex buyer in connection to a robbery investigation after two people allegedly tried to steal $5,000 from a male victim at knifepoint.
