Upon showing up at a pre-arranged location to meet with the underage child, the offender was arrested for online solicitation of a minor by Hopkins County deputies. His bond was set at $75,000. The offender’s identity, photo, age, location, and charge were included in reports from local news sources.
In September of 2020, a Sulphur Springs resident was arrested on prostitution charges, after attempting to purchase sexual activities. According to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, a male sex buyer had allegedly agreed to purchase sexual activities for $100 and then proceeded by traveling within the vicinity of the individual he’d agreed to meet.
